The Emerald Hen - A Tribute to Riley

Monday, November 7th, 2005 marks an extremely sad day for the Emerald Hen as the beloved black lab pub dog Riley has moved on to the great pub in the sky.  Riley was only a two year old puppy when he was struck down with serious hip dysphasia.  His health deteriorated quickly and the pain he was in was obvious thought he never complained.  Riley was a well loved pub dog and everyone at the Hen always looked forward to walking him around town for his potty breaks.  Heather, the owner of the Emerald Hen and Riley's mom, will be in a very somber mood for quite some time when considering that she LOVED Riley as much as someone could love a dog.  We wish to dedicate this page to the memory of Riley, the Emerald Hen's favorite pub dog. 

Riley, if you're listening, we miss you and we hope you will save us a pint when we meet you at the Heavenly Hen.  The pictures below are from Riley's last day at the Emerald Hen with loving owner, Heather.  If you click on the pictures, they will enlarge to full size.  Next time you're at the Hen, please express your sorrow to Heather.
