Higgins House Makes its Film Debut

Shortly after my wife Renee and I moved into the Higgins House as part of our home and the new owners of the Victorian Inn, we heard a knock on our door.  When we answered, it was a young film producer named Chad Foster who had recently graduated in Film at Full Sail and is looking for a setting for his movie.   Chad went on to explain the story line that involved a women who had grown up in an old house with her family and later lived in it with her husband and daughter.  After a while, the couple's marriage did not last and she was left with no choice but to divorce and sell her life long, family home.  When I informed him that we had just moved in and that there were boxes everywhere, he seemed to almost be in tears as he explained that "now I don't need my props."  We much obliged to his request to film the movie in our home and later that weekend, we had an entire staff of actors, directors and support crew filming along throughout the weekend.  We scripted in Adelaide as one of the children in honor of the Higgins Family and Mr. Higgins daughter.  My daughter Kaley ended up in a key role as one of the actresses.  To our surprise it has been Kaley's prayer to be in a movie at her house since she took up acting and before we moved into the Higgins House.  It's strange how God answers prayers that we didn't even know about.

Though I'd have to admit that even though there was some inconvenience and turmoil due to our recent move and all the commotion that in the end it was something very special to me and my family and more importantly, something we will never forget.  In a way, it actually made our transition more easier to contend with and more enjoyable during the mess of moving.  To honor this moment and to thank the entire crew of the "Charmed" movie, I'd like to share some of the highlights of the weekend that the Higgins House made its film debut.  For more information on "Charmed" check out the following link.  Charmed Website.  While you are on our website, we hope you enjoy our pictures.
